Cinema VinesMalayalam action thriller Thudakkam will open on the digital platform JioHotstar on September 18, 2026, after its theatrical run that began on August 7, 2026. The film, written by director Jude Anthany Joseph together with Akhil Krishna and Linish Nellikkal, follows a tightly plotted thriller narrative and features a large ensemble cast.
In addition to the main cast – which includes Aashish Joe Antony, Sai Kumar, Bobby Kurian, Manoj K. Jayan, K. B. Ganesh Kumar, Miya George, Chippy Renjith, Kottayam Ramesh and Jaffar Idukki – the film is notable for a special cameo by Vismaya Mohanlal. The cameo has already sparked online buzz, with fans eager to see the veteran actor in a brief but striking role.
Jude Anthany Joseph not only directed the film but also contributed to the screenplay. Cinematography was handled by Akhil George and Jomon T. John, with Sudeep Elamon serving as additional director of photography. Editing was done by Chaman Chakko, while the musical score was composed by Jakes Bejoy.
