Cinema VinesAviation firm Dunes Aviation has filed a ₹3 crore civil defamation suit against Bollywood dancer and actress Nora Fatehi in a Gandhinagar court, claiming that the actress’s social‑media remarks about a chartered aircraft damaged the company’s reputation.
The suit, lodged in April, alleges that Fatehi recorded videos inside a Cessna Citation CJ2 during a December flight from Mumbai to Jaipur, describing the aircraft as a “miniature,” a “toy” and a “Lego airplane.” She posted the clips on her Instagram handle, where she boasts more than 4.6 crore followers.
Dunes Aviation says the comments were “reckless, irresponsible, and made without any technical knowledge, verification or factual basis,” and that they triggered booking cancellations, causing a 15‑20% drop in reservations and a rise in cancellations. The company argues that the aircraft was standard, DGCA‑certified, airworthy and operated under a valid NSOP.
In addition to the ₹3 crore damages, the suit seeks an order for immediate removal of all content containing the defamatory statements from social‑media platforms and a public clarification from Fatehi. The case will be heard by senior civil judge R Agarwal on September 25.
