Indian star Suriya is set to make his Netflix debut with the Venky Atluri‑directed drama Vishwanath & Sons, which will hit the streaming platform on September 11, 2026, following its theatrical run. The film will be offered in five languages—Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam and Kannada—making it accessible to a wide Indian audience.
In the story, Suriya plays Sanjay Vishwanath, a wealthy businessman in his forties who has deliberately kept his personal life in check, living with his mother and steering clear of marriage. The arrival of a baby and the introduction of Mamitha Baiju’s character, Maddy Jay, disrupt Sanjay’s orderly existence and spark a romantic relationship that becomes the core of the plot.
The narrative tackles the sensitive theme of an age‑gap romance, focusing on the dynamics between a man in his 40s and a 22‑year‑old woman. Director Venky Atluri has chosen to centre the film’s conflict around this relationship rather than treating the age difference as a mere gimmick.
Production credits include KN Vijayakumar as dialogue writer, Naga Vamsi S and Sai Soujanya as producers under Srikara Studios, Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinemas, with music composed by GV Prakash Kumar. Nimish Ravi handled cinematography while Navin Nooli took charge of editing.
The team announced the digital premiere through their social media channels, confirming the release date and the multi‑lingual availability on Netflix.
