Kiara Advani and Sidharth Malhotra have taken to Instagram to share a nostalgic glimpse of what they might have looked like as a classic 1980s Bollywood couple. The pair participated in the viral AI trend that recreates celebrities in vintage styles, posting a striking portrait that pairs Kiara in a bright pink dress with puff sleeves, oversized hoop earrings and bangles, and Sidharth in a double‑denim ensemble with dark aviator sunglasses. The image, which exudes a quintessential retro aesthetic, was accompanied by the romantic track “Samjho Na” from Sidharth’s forthcoming film, The Vvaan.
The post immediately sparked fan enthusiasm. Comments ranged from “What a model of a couple” to “Them in their retro era (Heart eyes emojis)”, and one viewer compared the pair to the iconic Bollywood duo of Akshay Kumar and Raveena Tandon, noting how closely the two look in the 80s-inspired setting.
Kiara and Sidharth’s romance began on the sets of Shershaah (2021), where their chemistry during filming and promotion fueled dating speculation. After keeping their relationship private for a long time, they confirmed their marriage in February 2023 with an intimate ceremony in Jaisalmer, followed by celebrations in Delhi and Mumbai. The couple has since maintained a low‑profile personal life, occasionally sharing glimpses with fans. In 2025, they welcomed their first child, a daughter named Saraayah.
Professionally, Kiara recently appeared in Geetu Mohandas’ Toxic: A Fairytale For Grown‑Ups, a film that, despite a star‑studded cast, received largely negative reviews and earned ₹338 crore worldwide against a reported ₹500 crore budget. Sidharth is set to release The Vvaan on September 25, a fantasy thriller directed by Arunabh Kumar and Deepak Kumar Mishra and featuring Tamannaah Bhatia, Shweta Tiwari, Sunil Grover and Maniesh Paul. The film is presented by Balaji Motion Pictures in partnership with TVF and 11.11 Production.
