Cinema VinesRukmini Vasanth has officially joined the cast of Nivin Pauly’s upcoming Malayalam film, marking her debut in the industry after establishing a reputation across South Indian cinema. The actress, known for her work in Kannada titles such as Kantara: Chapter 1, was welcomed to the sets of the new project, titled NP 51, by Pauly and the production team.
The announcement came amid celebrations for the box‑office success of Bethlehem Family Unit, during which Pauly presented Rukmini with a box of Mysore Pak. The gesture echoed a previous celebration when he gifted the same sweet to Glixon Ashley after the triumph of Bethlehem. Crew members also received boxes of the confection on set, adding to the festive atmosphere.
Rukmini’s inclusion adds fresh interest to NP 51, which is the 51st film in Pauly’s career. The film is positioned as a romantic comedy and introduces a new on‑screen pairing between the veteran actor and the newcomer.
Directed by Nashid Famy, who co‑wrote Jaya Jaya Jaya Jaya Hey with Vipin Das, the project is jointly produced by Martin Prakkat, Nivin Pauly, Sibi Chavara and Ranjith Nair through Martin Prakkat Films, Poly Jr Pictures and Green Room Productions. Distribution will be handled by Green Room Releases.
