Cinema VinesSoori’s latest venture, the Tamil sports action drama Mandaadi, hit theatres on September 10, bringing a fresh narrative centered on a traditional sailboat race in South India. The film, written and directed by Mathimaran Pugazhendhi—known for his 2022 project Selfie—features Soori in the lead role, with newcomers Suhas making his Tamil film debut and Mahima Nambiar joining the ensemble.
Produced by Elred Kumar under the RS Infotainment banner and co‑produced by V. Manikandan, Mandaadi assembles a robust cast that includes Sathyaraj, Mithun Jai Sankar, Ravindravjay, Bala Saravanan, and Stun Siva. The story pits two rival teams, led by Kaali and Saattaappuli, against each other in a high‑stakes race that tests skill, strategy, and camaraderie.
Behind the scenes, G. V. Prakash Kumar supplies the film’s musical score, while S. R. Kathir captures the visual narrative through his cinematography. Editing is handled by Pradeep E.
