After a brief theatrical run that began on August 14, 2026, Vishal’s first directorial venture, the Tamil action thriller Magudam, will now be available to stream on Prime Video starting September 11, 2026. The film will be offered in four languages—Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam—giving audiences across South India a chance to watch the movie in their preferred tongue.
Magudam marks a significant milestone for the production house Super Good Films, which is celebrating its 99th project with this release. The film is a joint effort with Vishal Film Factory and is presented by R. B. Choudary. Producers credited on the project include B. Suresh, R. B. Jeevan Choudary, Jithan Ramesh and Jiiva.
Vishal not only directs the film but also stars in a dual role, while the story is penned by Ravi Arasu. The screenplay and direction are handled by Vishal, with Tamil dialogues crafted by Pon Parthiban, Vishal and Anand Kumaresan, and Telugu dialogues by Rajesh A Moorthy. The film’s music is composed by G. V. Prakash Kumar, with cinematography by Richard M. Nathan and Abinandhan Ramanujam and editing by N. B. Srikanth.
The cast features Anjali and Dushara Vijayan in leading roles, supported by John Vijay, Jeya Prakash, Ajay, Vamsi Krishna, Abu Salim, Arjai, VJ Jhansi, Padam Kumar and Sabumon, among others. The technical crew includes art director G. Durairaj, action director Dhilip Subbarayan, costume designer Vasuki Bhaskar, and choreographers Brinda, Dinesh, Azar and Apsar. Visual effects are handled by Lorven Studio, with DI by B2H Studios. Post‑production work on sound effects, mixing, VFX, colour grading and publicity was overseen by T. Uday Kumar, designer Kannadasan DKD, and PROs Riaz K Ahmed and Paras Riyaz for the Tamil release.
With its digital launch less than a month after its theatrical debut, Magudam offers fans a quick transition from cinema screens to home viewing. Viewers who missed the August 14 theatrical premiere can now stream the film on Prime Video from September 11, enjoying the action-packed narrative in their chosen language.
