Pradip Kumar Nandy’s production house, Nandy Movies, is stepping into the Malayalam film market with its first Malayalam feature. The company, which has built a reputation in Bengali cinema with titles such as “Bhaggyolokkhi,” “Ranna Baati,” and “Keu Bole Biplobi, Keu Bole Dakat,” will now bring a new horror story to South Indian audiences.
The upcoming project is a collaboration between Nandy Movies, A2V Networks, and Dream Big Films, a well‑known Malayalam production and distribution firm. The film will be directed by debutant Soorej Somachandran, and the production team includes Pradip Kumar Nandy, Nitin Kumar, Alok Kumar and Sujith J. Nair.
Details such as the cast, plot, and technical crew are still under wraps, but the partnership with Dream Big signals a serious entry into the region’s industry. Nandy, who transitioned from a successful garment‑manufacturing career to filmmaking, has expressed a desire to support distinctive stories that resonate with audiences.
With this venture, Nandy Movies aims to expand its multilingual footprint, building on its Bengali successes and exploring new creative avenues in Malayalam cinema.
