The film, directed by Kaushal Oza and produced by Luminoso Pictures, Civic Studios, Good Bad Films, Flip Films and Kashyap himself, follows a seven‑year‑old boy named Thomas who believes that the only way to get a sibling is for his parents to kiss.
Child actor Hridansh Parekh plays the titular role, while the adult cast is led by Gulshan Devaiah and Rasika Dugal. Devaiah described the project as “the cutest film I’ve been a part of” and praised the opportunity to work with Oza and Dugal, saying it was a memorable experience. Dugal echoed this sentiment, noting that the film stays true to its story without unnecessary frills and fills a gap in Indian cinema by offering a children’s movie that adults can also enjoy.
Oza, who says the film is inspired by his own childhood, highlighted the enthusiasm of the young actors on set and the genuine chemistry that shines through on screen. He added that Thomas will make audiences laugh, smile, and even shed a tear or two. Producer Ranjan Singh framed the film as a reminder of why filmmakers create stories, calling it an innocent, fun narrative that invites families to watch together in an era of high‑adrenaline cinema.
“Little Thomas is a charming, warm and funny children’s film that answers the age‑old question kids ask: ‘Where do babies come from?’,” Anushka Shah of Civic Studios said. “We wanted to back this story because it answers an important question while filling a much‑needed gap for high‑quality children’s films in India.”
