Cinema VinesTwo weeks remain until the re‑release of Avengers Endgame: Encore, and ticket buyers are already lining up for the upgraded experience. The buzz is amplified by the recent success of Spider‑Man: Brand New Day, which has reignited enthusiasm for the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The new version of the film will feature fresh footage and an exclusive preview of the upcoming Avengers: Doomsday, but the post‑credits scene that ties directly into the sequel will be reserved for premium formats.
Earlier this year, Disney introduced Infinity Vision, a certification for Premium Large Format (PLF) cinemas that meet stringent criteria for screen size, projection quality, brightness and sound. Avengers Endgame: Encore will be among the first titles to debut on Infinity Vision‑certified screens, ahead of the December release of Avengers: Doomsday. The certification is already being rolled out across major Indian cities.
Advance bookings opened on September 11, and the first Infinity Vision‑certified locations in India include PVR C&B Square (PVR Sangam) in Chakala, Andheri East, Mumbai, where the film will run at 7:15 pm and 11:00 pm. PVR Promenade in Vasant Kunj, Delhi, will offer the same two showtimes, while Cinepolis Lake Mall in Kolkata will screen the movie at 9:00 am, 4:20 pm and 11:50 pm. These venues have all received the Infinity Vision seal.
Trade insiders say additional theatres across Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Chandigarh, Pune, Chennai, Coimbatore and other cities are slated to join the certification programme. Occupancy in both IMAX and Infinity Vision screens is expected to be strong, with ticket prices set slightly higher to reflect the premium viewing experience and the film’s projected box‑office performance.
The move underscores Disney’s strategy to maximise revenue from its blockbuster catalog by offering enhanced formats that deliver a more immersive experience. Fans can look forward to a cinematic experience that not only revisits the climactic moments of the original film but also provides a sneak peek into the next chapter of the Marvel saga.
