Cinema VinesAmazon Prime Video’s reality series Rise & Fall has returned for a second season, this time with former Indian cricketer Virender Sehwag stepping in as the new host. The announcement came on Friday when Prime Video released the first promotional clip for Season 2, showcasing Sehwag’s playful take on the show’s central theme of life’s ups and downs.
In 2025, the original season—hosted by Ashneer Grover—captured the public’s imagination, with many viewers claiming it was “better than Bigg Boss.” Sehwag’s arrival has already sparked lively discussion among fans, who have praised the change with comments such as “Much better than Ashneer” and “Viru sir, yeh kis line main aagye aap, hahaha.”
Sehwag, making his debut as a reality‑show host on a streaming platform, said, “Cricket has taught me one thing—no match is won before the final ball, and Rise & Fall Season 2 takes that unpredictability to another level. As a host, what excites me about this game is that there are no easy wins and no fixed positions. The biggest challenge isn’t just getting to the top but knowing how to stay there. You have to know when to attack, when to defend, and, most importantly, when to read the game before it reads you. Season 2 will feature 15 celebrities split into two factions: the Rulers, who enjoy the luxuries of a penthouse, and the Workers, who contend with the realities of a basement. Each decision, alliance and challenge can alter the course of the competition, as contestants must balance money, influence and instinct to survive.
