The actor, dressed in a white shirt, stepped onto the stage to greet the audience with his trademark smile, earning thunderous applause and cheers as he took the microphone. “Sahi lagi? Yeh aap sabka pyaar hai jo film ko chala raha! Thank you so much,” he said, thanking the crowd for their love and support for both him and the movie.
Fazal explained that Lucknow is “humara sheher” and that he wanted to meet his hometown fans personally. He urged viewers to watch the end‑credits, which hint at a possible sequel, and remarked that the film’s journey from OTT to the big screen was a significant experiment. “Puneet Krishna wrote it and Gurmeet Singh directed it so well. It’s a team effort that has worked well,” he added. After the screening, the actor visited another show in the same multiplex and met more audience members.
Earlier in the week, Fazal had also traveled to theatres in Mumbai and Delhi to meet fans. He noted that although the recent film was not shot in Lucknow, it was filmed in Varanasi and Rajasthan, yet the city still plays a role in the story. The film, starring Pankaj Tripathi, Divyenndu, Ravi Kishan and Jitendra Kumar, has crossed ₹148 crore in India net collections and ₹200 crore worldwide after seven days, making it the fifth highest‑grossing Hindi film of the year and surpassing Emraan Hashmi’s Awarapan 2.
When asked about his surprise visit, Fazal said, “I came here to surprise my people. It is my way of saying thanks to my audience in my hometown who are supporting us, watching the film, and loving the collective work everyone has put into the film.” His heartfelt interaction with the audience, who responded with “Maza aa raha hai, Guddu bhaiya!” in unison, underscored the strong connection between the star and his loyal fan base in Lucknow.
