Cinema VinesActor Amala Paul, who last appeared in the film Level Cross, has announced her return to Malayalam cinema as the lead in director M Padmakumar’s forthcoming project. Production for the untitled film began on September 12, 2026, with the star’s arrival on set marked by a simple white kurta adorned with red floral prints.
Padmakumar, known for directing hits such as Vargam, Vasthavam, Shikar and Joseph, is collaborating with Paul under the Rajsagar Films banner, headed by producer Ramesh Gopinathan. The film’s story and screenplay are written by M P Suneesh Kumar, while executive producer Shamnas M Ashraf and line producer Sujan Kumar are handling production logistics.
The ensemble cast includes Vijay Babu, Irshad, Kottayam Nazeer, Binu Pappu, Indrans, Rony David Raj, Deepan Sivaraman and Aadhya Amit, all set to support Paul’s central character. Cinematography is entrusted to Ajay David Kachappilly, with music direction by Nandhagopan and K. K. Nishad. Lyrics are contributed by B. K. Harinarayanan, Muthu and Vivek Muzhakkunnu.
