Cinema VinesPreity Zinta, the veteran star returning to Bollywood with her second film in a decade, shared her mixed feelings about watching her own work in a recent interview with the Hindustan Times. In the conversation, she revealed that she avoids watching her movies after they’re released, describing the experience as “awkward” and “unusual.” Zinta explained that she feels a persistent sense of impostor syndrome, saying, “I can never judge myself on screen. I don’t see myself on screen. Once my movie is done, I don’t watch it. I feel very awkward sitting through.” The actress added that she constantly thinks, “I could have done this better,” a sentiment she says never fully fades.
In the same interview, Vanshika Dhir, who is making her acting debut in Kunal Kemmu’s film Vibe, echoed Zinta’s feelings. Dhir admitted to being surprised when her face appeared on the movie’s promotional poster and trailer, noting that seeing herself on the big screen triggered a bout of impostor syndrome that she expects will linger for some time. She also mentioned that she has not yet seen the finished film, mirroring Zinta’s reluctance to watch her own performances.
Beyond the emotional toll, Zinta also spoke about the physical demands of her role. In Vibe, she portrays Madam H, a super‑spy who trains two newcomers for a covert mission. The veteran actress explained that doing her own stunts was a “negotiation” with the action team, as she had to balance her desire to perform with the technical expertise of professionals. She recounted being “kicked” and “punched” during filming, noting that the on‑screen action feels far more exciting than the reality of the shoot.
The film, produced by Kemmu and Chirag Nihalani under Drongo Films and in partnership with Amazon MGM Studios, also features Dinesh Lal Yadav, Yashpal Sharma, and a cameo by Sharmila Tagore. Vibe is slated for theatrical release on September 18, offering audiences a blend of espionage, action, and the unique perspectives of its leading actresses.
