Producer Namrata Singh, who co‑produced the devotional hit Hanuman Ansh, confirmed that the film is already being planned as a trilogy. In an interview with Bollywood Hungama, she explained that the story is based on Vishal Chaturvedi’s book, Divine Detour: That Changed My Life, and that the first part covers the early life of Lakshmi Narayan, who later became the revered Neem Karoli Baba. The sequel will focus on the Kainchi phase of the saint’s journey, while the third instalment will explore how his teachings spread beyond India to influence global figures such as Steve Jobs, Mark Zuckerberg, Jack Dorsey and even Hollywood star Julia Roberts.
When asked whether the film’s high‑profile devotees – Anushka Sharma, cricketer Virat Kohli and actress Julia Roberts – would appear in the upcoming chapters, Singh said she has already reached out to some of them. She added that they were aware of the project from the beginning, hinting that cameo appearances could be on the cards, though no definitive confirmation has been given yet.
Released on August 7, Hanuman Ansh initially struggled at the box office but word of mouth turned it into a sleeper hit, earning a net total of ₹173.63 crore according to trade portal Sacnilk. The film’s modest budget and heartfelt storytelling resonated with audiences worldwide, leading to a global release on September 11 under Hombale Films’ distribution banner.
Beyond its commercial success, the movie has attracted attention from political figures. The team recently screened the film for Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, while Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami attended a special showing and described it as a “must‑watch spiritual movie for cinemagoers.” These endorsements underscore the film’s cultural impact and the growing interest in the life of Neem Karoli Baba.
With a clear roadmap for its future, the Hanuman Ansh franchise promises to delve deeper into the saint’s influence, both within India and across the globe. Fans can look forward to a trilogy that not only celebrates a spiritual legend but also brings in contemporary celebrity figures who share a devotion to the same guru.
