Indian playback singer Sonu Nigam has just finalized the sale of a 3,082‑square‑foot commercial unit in Mumbai’s Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC). The ground‑floor space, located in the Trade Centre opposite the MTNL building in Bandra East, changed hands on 4 September 2026 for a headline price of ₹18 crore. Nigam had bought the same unit in November 2023 for ₹14.30 crore, meaning he realised a gain of roughly ₹3.7 crore before taxes and other costs.
The transaction was executed through SAA Estate LLP, which is listed as the purchaser in the property registration documents accessed by CRE Matrix. In addition to the office space, the deal included two car‑parking spots and was accompanied by a stamp duty payment of ₹1.08 crore. At a per‑square‑foot rate of about ₹58,404, the sale reflects the continued strength of BKC’s commercial market, a hub for corporate, financial and professional services firms.
Sonu Nigam’s move comes amid a broader trend of high‑profile musicians monetising their real‑estate assets in the city. Earlier this year, fellow singer Kailash Kher sold a 2,619‑sq‑ft unit on the seventh floor of the same Trade Centre for ₹10.75 crore, having purchased it for ₹10.50 crore in November 2025. Kher’s sale yielded a modest appreciation of around 2.4% over a year, with the transaction also featuring a single parking space and a stamp duty of ₹64.50 lakh.
Both sales underline the sustained demand for premium office space in BKC, where developers continue to deliver high‑quality, high‑value properties. While Nigam and SAA Estate LLP have declined to comment, the recent deals suggest that the market remains robust, offering attractive returns for investors and sellers alike.
