Their latest collaboration, Padayaatra, was unveiled with a trailer that premiered on September 13, 2026. The film marks the fourth time the duo has crossed paths on screen, following their earlier successes with Anantharam, Mathilukal, and the 1993 classic Vidheyan.
Produced under the banner of Mammootty Kampany, Padayaatra is the eighth project from the production house. The story is set in a past era and follows a doctor—played by Mammootty—who navigates a socially relevant drama that explores evolving human values. The film’s tagline, “It is not the times that have changed, it is us,” hints at the central theme of self‑reflection and change.
The trailer introduces a strong supporting cast, featuring Grace Antony and Indrans in pivotal roles. Other notable actors include Aliyar, Sreeshma Chandran, Alancier Ley Lopez, Madhupal, Nandu, P Sreekumar, Jagadish, and Zeenat. The screenplay, story, and dialogues were crafted jointly by Adoor Gopalakrishnan and KV Mohankumar, while Shehnad Jalal handled cinematography and Mujeeb Majeed composed the music.
