Cinema VinesSoori’s sports‑action drama Mandaadi has seen a sharp uptick in its box‑office performance on Saturday, September 12, the film’s first Saturday in theatres. According to Sacnilk, the film pulled in an estimated ₹10 crore net in India on Day 3, a jump of nearly 49.3% over Friday’s ₹6.70 crore haul. Cumulatively, the Tamil‑language version earned ₹8.30 crore net from 2,548 shows, while the Telugu version added ₹1.70 crore from 806 shows, bringing the total India net collection to about ₹21.55 crore and a gross of ₹25.23 crore.
Across the board, Mandaadi was screened in 3,354 tracked shows on Day 3, up from 2,864 on Friday, with an overall occupancy of 53.8% compared to 44.9% on Day 2. The overseas segment posted an estimated ₹2.50 crore on Saturday, pushing the overseas gross to ₹5 crore and the worldwide total to roughly ₹30.23 crore after three days.
The film, directed and written by Mathimaran Pugazhendhi and produced by Elred Kumar under the RS Infotainment banner, is set against the backdrop of a traditional South Indian sailboat race. The story follows the rivalry between the teams led by Kaali and Saattaappuli, with Soori playing the titular role. Suhas makes his Tamil debut alongside Mahima Nambiar, while the supporting cast features Sathyaraj, Mithun Jai Sankar, Ravindravjay, Bala Saravanan and Stun Siva.
