Malayalam investigative crime thriller Pradhama Drishtya Kuttakkar opened on September 11 and has shown a robust start in Kerala. By 1:30 PM on Sunday, September 13, the film had earned a tracked gross of ₹1.60 crore from 700 shows, according to industry tracker AB George. The figure is provisional, as the Sunday run is still in progress and the final Day 3 total will only be available after all evening and night screenings conclude.
On its second day, the film collected ₹1.90 crore, so the partial Sunday tally already surpasses the ₹1 crore mark but cannot be directly compared with the full Day 2 earnings. AB George posted the Day 3 update on X at 1:42 PM, noting the strong trend in the film’s performance.
Directed by Shahad, Pradhama Drishtya Kuttakkar follows Aleena, a woman who joins the police force after her husband’s death and finds herself entangled in a crime investigation that tests her sense of justice and loyalty. The story is anchored by Parvathy Thiruvothu in the lead role, with a supporting cast that includes Vijayaraghavan, Mathew Thomas, Sidharth Bharathan, Unnimaya Prasad, Azees Nedumangadu and Vinay Fortt.
The screenplay was written by PS Subramanian and Vijesh Thottingal, while production was handled by Arjun Selva under the banner of 11 Icons. The film’s visual and sound design were crafted by cinematographer Roby Varghese Raj, editor Chaman Chakko, production designer Makesh Mohanan, and sound designer Jayadevan Chakkadath. Music was composed by Mujeeb Majeed, and the film was distributed by Central Pictures.
As the weekend progresses, the final Day 3 Kerala collection will offer a clearer picture of how the film performed over its first weekend compared with the opening two days.
