Gaurav Khanna, the former HT On Google Television actor, announced his exit from the stunt‑based reality show Khatron Ke Khiladi 15 in tears, citing an elbow injury that has taken a toll on his health. After being eliminated early in the season, Khanna returned as a wildcard contestant, only to decide to leave a week later despite winning the latest elimination stunt and saving fellow competitor Ruhaanika Dhawan from elimination.
The elimination task required contestants to climb onto a suspended platform and pull flags attached to it. Khanna managed to pull two flags, while Rubina Dilaik pulled only one. Ruhaanika slipped and fell, causing her stunt to be halted. Even though Khanna emerged victorious, he told host Rohit Shetty that he could not continue because his elbow injury prevented him from performing at 100% and he did not want to jeopardise the safety of other contestants.
Emotional on the set, Khanna apologized to his fellow contestants and to Shetty before hugging the host and touching his feet. Ruhaanika attempted to persuade him to stay, but he remained firm that his physical condition made it impossible to give his all in the upcoming challenges.
The decision has moved fans to tears, with comments praising Khanna’s honesty and kindness. One viewer wrote, “GK, you are a pure‑hearted person; you already won hearts,” while another noted, “As an audience, we can clearly see his sadness and stress.” A third fan declared, “You are a winner. You are the most genuine and kind‑hearted person.”
Season 15 of Khatron Ke Khiladi carried the theme “Old vs New: Darr Ka Naya Daur,” bringing back former stars such as Rubina Dilaik, Rithvik Dhanjani, Vishal, Karan Wahi and Jasmin Bhasin, alongside newcomers like Avinash Mishra, Farrhana Bhatt, Orry, Ruhaanika Dhawan and Khanna. After the initial team‑based challenges were dissolved, the contestants competed individually for a spot in the finale, which was filmed on September 13. Speculation now surrounds whether Mishra or Bhatt will lift the trophy.
