Mahaveer Jain Films has teamed up with writer‑director Vishal Chaturvedi to bring a new biopic, RamBola, to the screen. The film will chronicle the life of Mahakavi Goswami Tulsidas, the celebrated poet and spiritual icon whose works have shaped Indian literature and devotion for centuries. Chaturvedi, who recently collaborated with Jain Films on the devotional feature Hanuman Ansh, will both write and direct the upcoming project.
Produced by Mahaveer Jain, Vishal Chaturvedi, Amit Upadhyay and Raghuvendra Singh, RamBola will be presented by Mahaveer Jain Films. The makers aim to portray Tulsidas not only as a saint and poet but also as a transformative figure whose devotion left an indelible mark on Indian culture. The story will trace his journey from humble beginnings to becoming a revered spiritual leader.
Chaturvedi’s previous work, Hanuman Ansh, focused on the life of Shri Neeb Karori Baba, and his new project continues his exploration of figures from the Bharatiya Sant Parampara. The film is part of a broader slate from Mahaveer Jain Films, which also includes Naagzilla starring Kartik Aaryan, Yeh Prem Mol Liya featuring Ayushmann Khurrana and Sharvari, and White, a story inspired by an event involving spiritual leader Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, with Vikrant Massey in the lead.
While specific release dates have not yet been announced, the partnership between Jain Films and Chaturvedi signals a continued commitment to biographical storytelling that celebrates India’s rich spiritual heritage. Fans of devotional cinema can look forward to a film that promises to blend poetic narrative with profound spiritual insight.
