Kareena Kapoor lets 5‑year‑old Jeh craft Ganesh idol; family‑filled celebration shared on Instagram

During this year’s Ganesh Chaturthi, Bollywood couple Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan shared a sweet family moment on Instagram. The actress posted a series of photos showing her five‑year‑old son Jehangir Ali Khan, affectionately known as Jeh, crafting a small Ganesh idol from mud, while her husband helped him. In a playful caption, Kareena wrote, “Made by my Jeh Baba. Wishing everyone a peaceful and happy Ganesh Chaturthi.” The images highlighted the child’s resemblance to his mother and the mischievous spark he inherits from his father.

In earlier interviews, Kareena reflected on Jeh’s personality, noting that the little boy looks like her but carries Saif’s naughtiness. She added that her other son, Tim, shares Saif’s sense of humor but is more reserved, preferring to avoid being photographed. Saif echoed these sentiments in an interview with ETimes, calling Jeh a “mama’s boy” and praising the strong bond between mother and child. He described Jeh as “very sweet” and “very attached to his mother,” adding that the family’s closeness is a joy to witness.

Saif and Kareena’s marriage in 2012 followed Saif’s earlier union with actress Amrita Singh, with whom he has two children, Sara and Ibrahim. The couple’s blended family now includes their own children, Jeh and Tim, who often feature in the couple’s social media posts.

Professionally, Kareena is preparing for the release of “Daayra,” a film directed by Meghna Gulzar in which she plays a police officer opposite Prithviraj Sukumaran. Saif is starring in “Haiwaan,” directed by Priyadarshan and featuring Akshay Kumar and Saiyami Kher. The project marks a reunion between Saif and Kumar, who last shared the screen in the 2005 film “Tashan.” In “Haiwaan,” Saif portrays a physically impaired man, while Kumar takes on the antagonist’s role.
