Cinema VinesRavi Teja’s latest outing, Irumudi, has finally found a home on Netflix, with the streaming platform announcing the film’s release for September 18. The announcement came via Netflix India’s official Instagram, which shared the movie’s poster and the date, noting that the film will be available in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam.
The story follows Trinadh, played by Teja, a struggling alcoholic father who decides to undertake the Ayyappa Deeksha—a vow of non-violence—in order to protect his daughter Manikanta, portrayed by Nakshatra. As the narrative unfolds, Trinadh must abandon his vices for the duration of the vow, only to find himself defending the village girls during a period when he is expected to remain non-violent. Critics have lauded Teja’s performance, describing it as a standout in the film.
After the film’s theatrical run, fans and industry peers have taken to social media to praise the work. Actor Vijay Deverakonda posted a heartfelt message, calling Irumudi “a glorious atmosphere in the Telugu cinema halls” and urging viewers to watch it for its gripping storytelling.
