Cinema VinesSoori’s latest venture, Mandaadi, has shown a robust performance in the domestic market, clocking an estimated ₹11.25 crore net on its first Monday after opening. The Mathimaran Pugazhendhi‑directed film, which premiered on September 10, 2026, has now accumulated a net total of roughly ₹45.85 crore in India after five days of theatrical release. Its gross earnings in the country have reached about ₹53.63 crore, while overseas collections added another ₹1.25 crore on Day 5, bringing the worldwide gross to approximately ₹62.38 crore.
Opening day figures stood at an estimated ₹4.85 crore net, with a modest rise to ₹6.70 crore on Friday. The weekend saw a sharp uptick, as Saturday’s earnings climbed to around ₹10 crore and Sunday delivered the film’s best single‑day net haul of about ₹13.05 crore. Monday’s collection, though a decline of roughly 13.8% from Sunday, still added a substantial ₹11.25 crore to the domestic total, surpassing the figures recorded on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
Set against the backdrop of a traditional South Indian sailboat race, Mandaadi centers on a rivalry between teams led by Kaali and Saattaappuli. The narrative blends drama and action, with Soori headlining the cast alongside Suhas, who makes his Tamil‑film debut. Mahima Nambiar also stars, and the ensemble includes seasoned actors such as Sathyaraj, Mithun Jai Sankar, Ravindravjay, Bala Saravanan and Stun Siva.
The film’s technical team features composer G. V. Prakash Kumar, cinematographer S. R. Kathir ISC, and editor Pradeep E. Ragav.
