Cinema VinesIn a move that could shape the ongoing investigation, Bollywood actor Sooraj Pancholi took to Instagram to address the Central Bureau of Investigation’s (CBI) recent filing of a First Information Report (FIR) in the 2020 death of Disha Salian, the former manager of late actor Sushant Singh Rajput. The FIR lists several individuals, including Pancholi, Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Aaditya Thackeray, Rohan Roy, and Rhea Chakraborty, among those to be examined.
Pancholi’s post clarified that he has never met Salian, neither directly nor indirectly. He wrote, “I have never met Late Disha Salian in my life, directly or indirectly. I have also never met Aditya Thackeray in my life!” The actor added that being dragged into a case with no evidence against him has been “very unfair and extremely upsetting.” He emphasized that he has already cooperated with law‑enforcement agencies, stating, “I have already been investigated by the CBI/police and my statement was recorded by the agencies almost 4–5 years ago.”
He urged the public to verify facts before forming opinions, warning that headlines and social‑media posts are not proof. “Please verify things before forming an opinion about someone's life and character,” Pancholi said, adding that a headline is not evidence and a debate is not evidence. He called for a fair and thorough CBI probe into Salian’s demise and for an investigation into any “malicious propaganda and false narratives” that might tarnish other people’s reputations.
Pancholi concluded by expressing his willingness to cooperate further if the CBI or police require additional information. “I have nothing to hide,” he wrote, “and if any investigating agency feels that they need to question me again or require any further information from me, I am completely willing to cooperate.” The actor’s statement comes amid growing scrutiny of the circumstances surrounding Salian’s death and the broader fallout from the Sushant Singh Rajput case.
