In the heartfelt note, Jaitly wrote, “Saying this here since I cannot reach you my boys: A new school year begins. What I wouldn’t give for one morning hug, one kiss & one ‘Bye, Mummy.’ I once covered your schoolbooks. Today, I cover you in prayers. Jaitly also expressed her sorrow at being unable to attend the first day of school and the possibility of missing the rest of their 2026 school days. “My heart breaks at this painful situation. Whatever happens between adults, my deepest wish is that you can freely share these everyday moments with both your parents,” she wrote. She urged that her boys never feel forced to choose between her and their father, promising unconditional love and support.
The divorce dispute began after 15 years of marriage. Jaitly filed a case under the Domestic Violence Act in a Mumbai court, alleging abuse by Haag, and has claimed she was denied access to her children after returning to India. The case also involves disagreements over property and financial control during the marriage. Haag has denied the allegations, and his father has sent a legal notice to Jaitly accusing her of making defamatory statements.
