Cinema VinesVikram Bhatt’s upcoming horror feature, 1920: Cold Winter, has just received a musical boost from none other than Himesh Reshammiya, marking the duo’s first collaboration in 13 years. The composer, who had previously worked with Bhatt on films such as Footpath (2003), Fear (2007), Red: The Dark Side (2007) and Dangerous Ishhq (2012), signed on after Bhatt expressed a desire for the score to stand out alongside the film’s jump‑scares and visuals.
Reshammiya’s label, Himesh Reshammiya Melodies, secured the music rights for the project and will also release tracks for other films he is scoring, including Gunmaaster G9 starring Emraan Hashmi, Yeh Prem Mol Liya with Ayushmann Khurrana, and Anil Sharma’s Arjun Naga featuring Arjun Rampal. The label’s growing portfolio underscores its confidence in the composer’s ability to deliver chart‑topping soundtracks.
While Bhatt has traditionally shot his films in Ooty, 1920: Cold Winter will be filmed in Mussoorie during the winter months at the end of the year. The choice of location and season aligns with the movie’s chilling premise, promising a visually atmospheric backdrop for the horror narrative.
The cast sees Ahan Shetty locked in as the male lead, with Anya Singh joining the ensemble. Both actors previously shared a screen space in the war blockbuster Border 2, where Shetty played Lt. Cdr. Mahendra Singh Rawat and Singh portrayed his wife, Sudha Rawat. Their pairing in this new project marks the second time they will appear opposite each other, adding a layer of intrigue for fans.
Produced by Anand Pandit and released a few weeks after the surprise success of Haunted – Echoes Of The Past (2026), 1920: Cold Winter is poised to capture audiences with its blend of suspense, music and a picturesque winter setting.
