Parvathy Thiruvothu Shines in ‘Pradhama Drishtya Kuttakkar’; Fans Call Her Performance ‘FANTABULOUS’

National Award‑winning actress Parvathy Thiruvothu, who recently celebrated two decades in cinema, has once again captured audiences with her latest offering, the investigative thriller Pradhama Drishtya Kuttakkar. The film, released on Tuesday, September 15, 2026, sees Parvathy portray Aleena Abraham, a police constable who joins the force after her husband’s death and is thrust into a complex case involving a custodial death.

Unlike the larger‑than‑life cop archetypes seen in earlier works, Aleena is portrayed as vulnerable, observant and quietly intelligent. Parvathy’s restrained and layered performance has earned her fans the label “FANTABULOUS,” with social media buzz highlighting how the actress’s presence “lets you forget you’re watching Parvathy Thiruvothu” and instead focus on the character itself.

One fan wrote, “After 20 years, perhaps the biggest thing Parvathy has earned is this… you start watching the character instead. And that is something worth celebrating.” Another added, “Mass Parvathy was not on my bucket list for 2026, we need more! @par_vathy is the soul of the film with a never‑seen‑before screen presence.” A third praised the depth of Aleena, noting, “13 years since Drishyam & Georgekutty, Malayalam Cinema had so many amazing crime investigation drama/thrillers in this last thirteen years but IMO Aleena Abraham stood on par in the level of Georgekutty. SO FREAKING DENSE OF A CHARACTER and when such a character gets someone AS FANTABULOUS as a Parvathy the sky is the limit and that's what happened here exactly.”

Parvathy’s recent filmography boasts hits such as Bangalore Days, Ennu Ninte Moideen, Charlie, Take Off, Uyare, Virus, Puzhu and Qarib Qarib Single. With Pradhama Drishtya Kuttakkar adding a fresh dimension to her repertoire, the actress is poised for an even more prolific year.

Looking ahead, Parvathy is set to lend her voice to the Malayalam dub of Kareena Kapoor Khan’s Daayra, while also starring in Hrithik Roshan’s production Strom and the horror‑mystery Dhootha 2. With several additional projects, including unannounced ventures, on the horizon, her 20th year in the industry promises to be a landmark chapter for the versatile performer.
