Cinema VinesMalayalam investigative crime thriller Pradhama Drishtya Kuttakkar has posted a solid opening in Kerala, raking in ₹6.85 crore over its first four days. The film, which premiered on September 11, opened on Friday with an estimated ₹85 lakh. Saturday’s takings jumped to about ₹1.90 crore, followed by Sunday’s roughly ₹2.40 crore, giving the weekend a total of nearly ₹4.95 crore.
On Monday, the film collected an estimated ₹1.70 crore, a figure that is roughly 90% of Saturday’s earnings. The drop from the weekend is modest, and the day’s gross keeps the four‑day total at ₹6.85 crore, according to AB George, a film‑industry tracker who posted the numbers on X at 11 AM on September 15.
Directed by Shahad, the story follows Aleena, a woman who joins the police force after her husband’s death. Her new role thrusts her into a demanding investigation that tests her sense of justice, loyalty and personal conviction. Parvathy Thiruvothu stars as the lead, supported by a strong ensemble that includes Vijayaraghavan, Mathew Thomas, Sidharth Bharathan, Unnimaya Prasad, Azees Nedumangadu, Vinay Fortt and Radhakrishnan Parthiban.
The film’s creative team features writers PS Subramanian and Vijesh Thottingal, music by Mujeeb Majeed, cinematography by Roby Varghese Raj and editing by Chaman Chakko. Production design is handled by Makesh Mohanan, sound by Jayadevan Chakkadath and Jithin Joseph, while VFX work comes from Promice Studios and DI from Color Planet Studios. Costume design is credited to Sameera Saneesh and makeup to Amal Chandran.
Action sequences were choreographed by Action Santhosh, Kalai Kingson and Vicky Master. The film is produced by Arjun Selva under 11 Icons and distributed by Central Pictures.
