Actor Rishab Shetty and his wife Pragathi Shetty arrived in Thiruvananthapuram on Saturday to attend the wedding reception of actress Ahaana Krishna and cinematographer Nimish Ravi. The couple was also photographed at the historic Sree Padmanabhaswamy Temple, and images of their visit quickly spread across social media.
The reception, scheduled for September 15 at 6:30 PM, will take place at Subramaniam Hall in the Trivandrum Club. It is intended for friends, colleagues from the Malayalam and broader South Indian film industries, as well as political and cultural figures. While the official guest list has not been released, reports suggest that many industry personalities will be in attendance.
Ahaana Krishna and Nimish Ravi began their wedding celebrations on September 13 at the Taj Kovalam resort, hosting a three‑day, intimate ceremony that was attended mainly by family members. The reception serves as a separate gathering for the wider film fraternity and other acquaintances.
The couple’s professional relationship dates back to their early careers. Ahaana made her debut in a film directed by Rajeev Ravi, where Nimish worked as an assistant cinematographer. Their friendship grew during that project and was rekindled on the set of “Luca,” where Ahaana starred opposite Tovino Thomas and Nimish was the cinematographer. The film’s visual style earned it critical acclaim and helped cement Ahaana’s rising profile.
Over the years, Nimish has expanded his work across Malayalam and other South Indian language productions. Although the pair have kept their personal lives relatively private, occasional social media posts—such as travel photos and birthday wishes—have offered glimpses of their bond. The upcoming reception is expected to be a star‑studded affair, with Rishab and Pragathi Shetty among the early arrivals in the city.
