Tanishaa Mukerji slams women who cheat on married men; calls them ‘evil’

Actor Tanishaa Mukerji, sister of Bollywood star Kajol, recently sparked a heated conversation on social media after posting a scathing critique of women who engage in affairs with married men. In a terse statement on her X account, she declared that such women “are not feminists. In fact, they are against women” and called them “evil.” She added that these women “should not be role models to our children,” while also blaming men who lack character for the situation.

Her comments drew a mix of support and agreement from followers. One user echoed her sentiment, saying, “Absolutely correct, both equally responsible.” Another added, “Anyone who deliberately destroys someone's marriage deserves to be called out irrespective of gender.” The post quickly became a focal point for debate on the platform, with many users weighing in on the morality of infidelity and the responsibilities of both partners.

Earlier this year, Mukerji had discussed feminism on the Male Feminist Podcast, emphasizing India’s deep-rooted respect for women. She noted that while the country has a strong cultural reverence for women, colonial influences and overpopulation have led to social deterioration. She highlighted Hindu mythological figures such as Lord Krishna and Lord Shiva to illustrate that disrespect towards women has never been part of Indian culture.

Beyond her social media presence, Mukerji has had a varied career in the entertainment industry. She debuted in 2003 with the film Sssshhh opposite Karan Nath and Dino Morea, though the movie failed commercially. She later appeared in films like Sarkar, Neal ’n’ Nikki, and the Tamil hit Unnale Unnale, earning a Vijay Award nomination.
