Swiggy Dineout has rebranded its long‑running Great Indian Restaurant Festival (GIRF) as the Great Indian Ravi Festival, putting Bollywood and television star Ravi Kishan at the heart of the promotion. The festival runs from 14 September to 24 October 2026 and promises up to 50% off at more than 57,000 restaurants across 84 cities in India, including major metros such as Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru and Kolkata.
Customers can also enjoy an extra 10% instant discount when they pay with an HDFC Bank card, and receive 10% back as DineCash on bookings made through the Dineout app. The campaign film features Kishan as a larger‑than‑life avatar, weaving in his viral catchphrases like “Jaldi the Late” and “Home from Work” and the tagline “Discount Followsss My Brothaaaar,” a nod to one of his most popular dialogues.
“GIRF continues to be one of India’s biggest dining movements, and every year we aim to meet consumers where they already are,” said Dhruvish Thakkar, AVP Marketing and Revenue at Swiggy Dineout. “We have partnered with trending personalities and internet icons for GIRF over the last few years. This time, we have gone a step further by rechristening GIRF as Great Indian Ravi Festival.” He added, “Ravi Kishan isn’t just having a moment right now, he is the moment and has been trending across social media for the past few weeks! This is the reason why instead of simply riding that wave, we decided to build this year’s entire festival around him. We hope that GIRF in its new avatar will appeal to a larger audience, as the discount really does follow the brothaa.”
The festival will feature a wide range of dining options, from cafés, pubs and bars to luxury restaurants and family‑friendly eateries. Participating chains include Good Flippin’ Burgers, Punjab Grill, YouMee, One 8 Commune, Mainland China, Paradise Biryani and Absolute Barbecues. Swiggy Dineout will promote the event through digital and social media channels, creator‑led content and in‑app formats, with Kishan making frequent appearances across the campaign.
With the combination of star‑powered marketing, deep discounts and instant cashback, the Great Indian Ravi Festival is positioned to become the most talked‑about dining event of the year.
