Cinema VinesSalman Khan entertained his friends Bhuvan Bam and Nikkhil Advani with a private viewing of the Prime Video original series The Revolutionaries at his Galaxy residence in Mumbai. After the screening, the Bollywood star posted a series of Instagram Stories that featured a clip of the show’s trailer and a short video of him watching the series on an iPad alongside Bam and Advani. The post was accompanied by the hashtag #TheRevolutionaries, signalling a personal endorsement of the new series.
In a later Instagram post, Bam thanked Khan for watching the show and thanked Advani for backing the project. He wrote, “Revolutionaries dil mein aate hain, dimaag mein nahi. Watched the show with @beingsalmankhan at his house. A huge thank you to our captain @nikkhiladvani for trusting me with this project and taking The Revolutionaries all the way to Galaxy. Quite literally.” The post also included photos from the evening, giving fans a glimpse of the star’s home and the trio’s camaraderie.
The series itself follows four young protagonists—played by Bam, Rohit Saraf, Gurfateh Pirzada and Pratibha Ranta—whose lives echo those of real‑life revolutionaries Rash Behari Bose, Sachindra Nath Sanyal, Bagha Jatin and Pratibha Lahiri. Set against the backdrop of British rule in India, the show charts their journey of resistance while exploring the friendships, personal struggles and sacrifices that accompany such a path. It is adapted from Sanjeev Sanyal’s book Revolutionaries: The Other Story Of How India Won Its Freedom and is created and directed by Nikkhil Advani.
Production credits include Monisha Advani and Madhu Bhojwani of Emmay Entertainment, with writing by Sanyuktha Chawla Shaikh, Akshita Wadhwana, Shobhit Narang and Rutvi Mehta. The cast also features Paoli Dam and Tota Roy Chowdhury in key roles. The series premiered on Prime Video on 11 September 2026 and is available in Hindi, with dubbed versions in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada and Bengali.
While the series aims to bring a lesser‑known chapter of India’s freedom struggle to mainstream audiences, a review from Hindustan Times noted that it “squanders an opportunity to showcase a chapter of the Indian freedom struggle that very few know about” and that it “gets lost in its ambition to be grand and cinematic, sacrificing sound storytelling on the altar of grandeur and mass entertainment.” The review compared it unfavourably to classics such as Rajkumar Santoshi’s The Legend of Bhagat Singh and Manoj Kumar’s Kranti, which set the benchmark for entertaining freedom‑struggle narratives in Hindi cinema.
