Dancing With the Stars 35 Launches; Fans Get 20 Votes Each

Dancing With the Stars Season 35 has officially launched, and the voting window is already open for fans who want to help decide which celebrity couples will stay on the dance floor. The two‑night premiere begins on Tuesday, September 15, at 8 p.m. Eastern Time, followed by a Wednesday episode on September 16, also at 8 p.m. ET. Viewers in the United States and Canada who are 18 years of age or older can cast their votes during the live broadcast on ABC and the simultaneous Disney+ livestream in the Eastern and Central time zones.

Voting is available only while the show is airing live; replays, delayed viewings, or any other time slot do not allow votes. Fans can participate by visiting the official Dancing With the Stars website or by sending an SMS during the live voting window. The online voting portal permits up to ten votes per couple, and the text‑based system offers another ten, giving each pair a maximum of twenty votes. To text a vote, viewers must send the keyword shown at the start of the voting period to 21523.

For the first night, only the male contestants are eligible for votes, while the female competitors open for voting the following night. The official X post released by the show lists the text codes for each male contestant: Conner Leavitt (CONNER L), Connor Wood (CONNOR W), Ezra Frech (EZRA), Guillermo Rodriguez (GUILLERMO), Harry Shum Jr. (HARRY), Jackson Olson (JACKSON), Taylor Hanson (TAYLOR), and Tyler Cameron (TYLER). Fans can use these codes to send their SMS votes during the designated window.

Voting opens at the moment the episode starts at 8 p.m. ET and closes shortly after the final competitive dance concludes. Because the voting period is tied to the live broadcast, viewers who miss the live airing cannot participate. The show’s official Instagram handle, @dancingwiththestars, also shares voting reminders and updates throughout the season.
