Cinema VinesSoori’s Tamil sports‑action drama Mandaadi has crossed the ₹50‑crore mark in India after six days of theatrical release, according to box‑office tracker Sacnilk. The film opened on September 10 and has now netted ₹50.25 crore domestically, while its overseas gross stands at ₹10.65 crore, bringing the worldwide total to ₹69.43 crore.
Day six saw a sharp dip in earnings, with the film collecting ₹4.40 crore net in India from 3,542 shows and an overall occupancy of 29.2%. This represents a drop of roughly 61% compared to Monday’s ₹11.25 crore. The Tamil version led the domestic tally, bringing in ₹3.40 crore from 2,467 shows at 31.1% occupancy, while the Telugu version added ₹1 crore from 1,075 shows at 25% occupancy.
In the first six days, Mandaadi posted a steady climb: ₹4.85 crore on opening day, ₹6.70 crore on Friday, ₹10 crore on Saturday and ₹13.05 crore on Sunday. Monday’s ₹11.25 crore was the highest single‑day haul before the Tuesday slump. The film’s overseas earnings on Day six added another ₹1.50 crore, contributing to the cumulative ₹10.65 crore overseas gross.
Directed by Mathimaran Pugazhendhi, the film follows a traditional sailboat race and the rivalry between teams led by Kaali and Saattaappuli, with Soori playing the central role. The cast also includes Suhas in his Tamil debut, Mahima Nambiar, Sathyaraj, Mithun Jai Sankar, Ravindravjay, Bala Saravanan and Stun Siva. Music by G. V. Prakash Kumar, cinematography by S. R. Kathir and editing by Pradeep E. Ragav round out the technical team, while Elred Kumar produces under the RS Infotainment banner.
With Day seven approaching, Mandaadi faces a challenging week ahead after the Tuesday decline, but the film’s strong opening weekend and steady overseas performance keep it on a solid trajectory in the Indian market.
