Shilpa Shetty rocks the dhol at Ganpati Visarjan; fans cheer her energetic beats

Bollywood star Shilpa Shetty and her husband Raj Kundra celebrated the end of the Ganesh festival on Tuesday, bidding farewell to Lord Ganesha in a colourful procession that unfolded outside their home. The couple, along with their children, were photographed and filmed dancing to the rhythmic beats of a dhol as the ceremony, known as Ganpati Visarjan, reached its climax.

In several clips that went viral, Shilpa was seen dancing with her son Viaan and daughter, all clad in yellow outfits that matched the festive mood. The actress even took up the dhol herself, playing it with remarkable energy and enthusiasm that left onlookers impressed. Commentators on social media praised her performance, with remarks such as “she’s playing it like a pro,” “That energy, wow,” and “confidence and energy (claps).” One fan even added the colloquial phrase “super se bhi upar,” a compliment Shilpa often uses on reality dance shows, while another joked that she was “reverse ageing.”

The family’s celebration was mirrored by other Bollywood personalities. Salman Khan joined his family at his brother Sohail Khan’s residence, participating in the rituals and performing aarti. He was also seen spending time with his niece Ayat, while Sohail and other relatives danced enthusiastically to the dhol as the procession moved through the streets. The Khan family’s joyous moments were captured in several videos that circulated online.

Shilpa’s recent work has kept her in the public eye, most notably as the host of the reality show “Maa Hai Na.” The comedy‑cooking series paired Gen Z celebrities with their mothers for cooking challenges, games, and heartfelt moments. The finale aired on July 1, where Kushal Tanwar, known as Gullu, and his mother Munesh Tanwar claimed victory over Urvashi Dholakia and her son Kshitij, marking Gullu’s third consecutive win in reality television after triumphs on “Roadies XX” and “Splitsvilla X6.”

With her vibrant participation in the Ganpati Visarjan and her continued presence on television, Shilpa Shetty remains a prominent figure in Bollywood’s cultural and entertainment scenes.
