Cinépolis has announced it will distribute the Hindi film Om Ka Hari, starring Anshuman Jha and Raghubir Yadav, across Indian theatres. The move follows the success of the company’s previous release, Hanuman‑Ansh, and signals confidence that the new film will resonate with a broad audience.
Directed by Harish Vyas, Om Ka Hari blends a spiritually resonant title with a warm family drama‑comedy. The plot centers on the classic father‑vs‑son rivalry, a theme that the filmmakers hope will appeal to viewers everywhere. The story is driven by a strong ensemble cast, with the pairing of Yadav and Jha anchoring the narrative in emotion, humour, and a distinctly Indian sensibility.
“At Cinépolis, we believe audiences will always come to cinemas for stories that connect with them,” said Devang Sampat, Managing Director of Cinépolis India. “Hanuman Ansh has proven that, and with Om Ka Hari, we believe it has the ingredients of a film that can create that connection — a universal father‑son relationship, warmth, humour and a strong ensemble led by Raghubir Yadav and Anshuman Jha. It is the kind of rooted, content‑driven cinema that we believe deserves a strong theatrical platform, and we are excited about its potential to resonate with audiences across markets.”
First Ray Films produced the picture, and it is slated for a theatrical release on 18 September. Industry observers expect Om Ka Hari to be a key title for the trade and exhibition sector, following the recent success of films like Laalo and Hanuman Ansh.
