Cinema VinesParvathy Thiruvothu’s latest Malayalam crime‑thriller, Pradhama Drishtya Kuttakkar, has been steadily climbing the Kerala box‑office charts since its September 11 release. According to industry tracker AB George, the film has raked in a cumulative gross of ₹8.35 crore in the state over its first five days of theatrical run.
The opening day saw the film earn ₹85 lakh, a respectable start for a niche investigative drama. Collections surged over the weekend, with the second day pulling in ₹1.90 crore and the third day adding ₹2.40 crore. Monday’s takings were ₹1.70 crore, followed by ₹1.50 crore on Tuesday, a figure that represented an 88% hold from the previous day and kept the daily gross comfortably above the ₹1 crore mark.
AB George noted that the film is now in its sixth day of release as of Wednesday, September 16, but a complete figure for that day was not yet available. The five‑day total of ₹8.35 crore stands as the latest benchmark for the movie’s performance in Kerala.
Directed by Shahad, Pradhama Drishtya Kuttakkar follows the story of Aleena, played by Parvathy, who joins the police force after her husband’s death. The narrative explores themes of justice, loyalty and personal conviction as she navigates the challenges of her new role. The screenplay was penned by PS Subramanian and Vijesh Thottingal, with Mujeeb Majeed providing the musical score.
The technical team includes cinematographer Roby Varghese Raj, editor Chaman Chakko, sound designers Jayadevan Chakkadath and Jithin Joseph, production designer Makesh Mohanan, costume designer Sameera Saneesh, and makeup artist Amal Chandran. Action sequences were choreographed by Action Sandhosh, Kalai Kingson and Vicky Master. The film was produced by Arjun Selva under the banner 11 Icons and distributed by Central Pictures.
