Cinema VinesBalaji Motion Pictures has unveiled the first look of its upcoming action‑drama “Vvaan: Force Of The Forest,” set to hit Indian theatres on September 25. The trailer, released on YouTube on the 25th of September, follows married couple Sidharth Malhotra and Tamannaah Bhatia as they are drawn into a clash between ancient forest traditions and modern development.
The opening sequence introduces the Bhuttakas, a group of dark, supernatural forces that guard the Vvaan Devi forest. Legends in the film’s world warn that anyone who ventures into the woods at night never returns. Meanwhile, Sidharth and Tamannaah’s characters live a quiet life in Mumbai but are compelled to return to their village to celebrate Chhath Puja. Their return sets the stage for the film’s central conflict.
Enter Sunil Grover, who plays a developer seeking to clear the forest for new buildings. He persuades villagers to allow logging, sparking resistance from those who wish to preserve the sacred land. Sidharth’s character, despite warnings, ventures into the forest at night and is injured, leading to a revelation about a past‑life connection to the forest’s protection.
The trailer showcases a blend of supernatural elements, action sequences, and emotional drama. Sidharth’s hero takes on goons to defend the forest, while the narrative explores themes of faith, tradition, and the tension between progress and preservation.
“Vvaan” is a joint venture of Balaji Telefilms Ltd, TVF, and 11.11 Production. The film also features Shweta Tiwari, Maniesh Paul, and Anup Soni. It is written by Arunabh Kumar, directed by Deepak Mishra, with Manu Anand handling cinematography and visual direction. Production credits include Shobha Kapoor, Ektaa R Kapoor, Arunabh Kumar, and Niraj Kothari.
Tamannaah Bhatia praised her collaboration with Sidharth, describing the project as “a long‑time dream” and noting the script’s strong soul. She added that it was the first time she had encountered a story that resonated with her upbringing. The film follows Sidharth’s recent theatrical outing in “Param Sundari,” where he starred opposite Janhvi Kapoor.
