Soori’s Tamil sports‑action drama Mandaadi has seen its box‑office momentum slow after a strong opening weekend, but it remains on track to cross the ₹75‑crore mark worldwide. The film, which premiered on September 10, 2026, earned an estimated ₹3.50 crore in India net on Wednesday, September 16, according to Sacnilk. This figure represents a decline of about 25.5% from the previous day’s ₹4.70 crore, reflecting the typical post‑weekend dip that many releases experience.
Adding Wednesday’s haul to earlier earnings, Mandaadi has accumulated a net total of ₹54.05 crore in India and a gross of roughly ₹63.23 crore. Overseas collections have also contributed to the film’s success, with a Day 7 gross of ₹1.25 crore bringing the overseas total to ₹11.90 crore. When combined, the worldwide gross stands at approximately ₹75.13 crore after seven days of theatrical run.
The film’s earnings trajectory over the first week shows a clear pattern: it opened with ₹4.85 crore on Thursday, climbed to ₹6.70 crore on Friday, and surged to ₹10 crore on Saturday and ₹13.05 crore on Sunday. Monday’s collection was ₹11.25 crore, followed by Tuesday’s drop to ₹4.70 crore. The latest Wednesday figure of ₹3.50 crore continues the downward trend but keeps the film within striking distance of its ₹75‑crore goal.
In terms of language splits, the Tamil version contributed ₹2.80 crore to the India net total on Wednesday, while the Telugu version added ₹70 lakh. The film’s production team includes writer‑director Mathimaran Pugazhendhi, known for Selfie, and producer Elred Kumar under the RS Infotainment banner. The cast features Soori in the lead role, with Suhas making his Tamil debut alongside Mahima Nambiar, and supporting performances from Sathyaraj, Mithun Jai Sankar, Ravindravjay, Bala Saravanan, and Stun Siva.
Set against the backdrop of a traditional South Indian sailboat race, Mandaadi weaves a rivalry narrative between teams led by Kaali and Saattaappuli. The action‑driven storyline is underscored by music from G. V. Prakash Kumar, cinematography by S. R. Kathir ISC, and editing by Pradeep E. Ragav. With Day 8 yet to report final figures, the film’s trajectory suggests it will finish the week close to its projected worldwide earnings.
