Cinema VinesAmaal Mallik has taken to X, the platform formerly known as Twitter, to fire back at a wave of social media users who have been targeting his family amid the ongoing debate over his 2015 hit “Main Hoon Hero Tera.” The composer made it clear that while he is prepared to address criticism of his work, any remarks aimed at his relatives will not be tolerated.
In his post, Mallik warned, “A statutory warning to the entire audience on each & every social platform of the world… Not a word about my family will be tolerated.” He explained that the controversy stems from the song’s crediting process: the original version was sung by Armaan Malik, which led to the track being presented to actor‑producer Salman Khan and director Nikhil Advani. Mallik added that he composed the music, Kumaar wrote the lyrics, and Salman Khan’s version was later recorded, creating the final product that audiences know today.
Mallik further threatened to publicly expose anyone who comments on his family, stating, “I will expose each one of you here if I find you saying anything against my family.” He reiterated his support for his father, Daboo Malik, and the rest of his family, noting that he would not stand against them even if others do. He ended his message with a warning: “If anyone from the film industry, without probable cause or reason, stands up against me and mine, watch out, I’ll be coming for you.”
The backlash began after Salman Khan Films shared a social media post about the song, sparking discussions about credit distribution. Mallik’s response underscores his stance that while he welcomes critique of his music, personal attacks on his family are unacceptable.
