Malayalam supernatural thriller "It's A Medical Miracle" made its UAE debut on September 16, two days before the film’s scheduled Indian release on September 18. The first overseas screening has already sparked a wave of social‑media chatter, with several viewers hailing the film as an “absolute big‑screen masterpiece” and calling it a “game‑changer for Malayalam cinema.” These enthusiastic comments, while still early, hint at a positive reception that could carry over when the movie opens across India and other markets.
Directed by Shyamin Gireesh, the film stars Sangeeth Prathap, Sharaf U Dheen and Akhila Bhargavan in key roles. Nileen Sandra penned the story, screenplay and dialogues, weaving a plot that follows a young man declared brain‑dead yet aware of his surroundings. He becomes obsessed with finding the nurse whose voice he believes keeps him tethered to the outside world, and the narrative unfolds into a tense exploration of memory, revenge and hidden identities, with sound playing a pivotal role.
The technical crew brings seasoned talent to the project: Akhil Xavier serves as director of photography, Rakesh Cherumadam edits the film, and Mujeeb Majeed composes the score. Nixon George handles sound design, while Appunni Sajan is the art director and Promice provides VFX. The final mix was completed by Sinoy Joseph. Production was overseen by Dr. Paul Varghese and Sujith J Nair, with overseas rights managed by The Plot Pictures and marketing handled by Obscura Entertainments. Think Music is the film’s audio label.
While the UAE premiere offers a first glimpse for international audiences, the broader verdict will only emerge after the theatrical release on September 18. Early reactions suggest that the film’s blend of supernatural elements and psychological drama may resonate strongly with viewers, potentially redefining expectations for Malayalam cinema.
