Ranveer Singh seeks Ganesha’s blessings; fans cheer as he greets them

Bollywood star Ranveer Singh, who recently celebrated the massive success of his film Dhurandhar: The Revenge, was seen in Mumbai this week seeking the blessings of Lord Ganesha at the famed Lalbaugcha Raja temple. The actor, dressed in a simple white ensemble, patiently waited his turn amid a throng of devotees who erupted in cheers when they spotted him. A video posted by a paparazzo on Instagram captured the moment, showing Singh smiling and focusing on the Ganpati idol before stepping out of the temple to greet fans.

As he approached his car, the actor waved to the excited crowd, shook hands with those queuing to enter the temple, and even paused to interact with a fan who pulled his hand too tightly, a gesture that visibly startled him. Social media erupted with praise, with comments such as “He gives so much importance to his fans,” “real superstar,” and “He is so sweet” echoing across the internet.

The event came on the heels of personal news that ranveer and his wife, actress Deepika Padukone, are expecting their second child. The couple welcomed their first daughter, Dua, in 2024, and confirmed the pregnancy in April of this year, adding a joyous chapter to their growing family.

Ranveer’s cinematic triumph began with Dhurandhar, released in 2025, which earned over ₹1,300 crore worldwide and set the stage for its sequel, Dhurandhar: The Revenge. The follow‑up crossed ₹1,000 crore at the Indian box office and amassed roughly ₹1,800 crore globally, becoming one of the highest‑grossing films of the year. The franchise featured a star‑studded cast including Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal, Akshaye Khanna, Sara Arjun, and Rakesh Bedi.

Looking ahead, Ranveer is preparing for his next project, the post‑apocalyptic zombie thriller Pralay, directed by Jai Mehta. The film, produced by Ananya Birla’s Birla Studios, Hansal Mehta, Sahil Saigal’s True Story Films, and Ranveer’s own Maa Kasam Films, stars Kalyani Priyadarshan and is slated for a 2027 theatrical release.
