Malayalam action‑crime drama Law And Order opened in theatres on Friday, September 18, 2026, with a lineup that includes Prakash Varma as the lead detective and Abhirami in a key supporting role. Directed by Ranjith and penned by Udaykrishna, the film follows DYSP Balagopal, who after losing his son to a drug empire, vows to dismantle the cartel. The story also brings back Karayckamuri Shanmughan, the gangster character originally played by Mammootty in Ranjith’s 2004 film Black. Production credits include Premachandran A G and Mahasubair as producers, with Prasanth Raveendran handling cinematography and Manoj Kannoth editing. Don Max cut the trailer, while Shibu Chakravarthy supplied the film’s lyrics. Sunil Singh served as line producer, and Bose V worked as associate director under casting director Salini.

Early audience reactions have begun to surface on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter, following the first screenings. Social media posts from moviegoers offer a snapshot of the film’s initial reception, though they represent individual opinions rather than a definitive verdict. As more viewers experience the film over the coming days, a clearer picture of its overall impact is expected to emerge.
