Cinema VinesRashmika Mandanna, the versatile actress who has carved a niche in Telugu, Kannada, Tamil and Hindi cinema, says her journey into each language was not a strategic plan but a natural progression. The Kannada‑born star, who identifies as Kodava and speaks Kodava Takk, explained that her mother tongue has no film industry, so language never posed a barrier for her career. She treats every language as her own, adding that her fans—whom she affectionately calls her family—were the first to suggest she try a Telugu film, and the same encouragement came for Hindi projects.
When asked about the reactions to her accents, Mandanna replied that as long as she can communicate in a given language, she is comfortable. She respects audiences worldwide and does not let criticism about her accent distract her from her work. Instead, she focuses on delivering the story, saying, “As an actor my job is to tell good stories on set and come back.”
Mandanna emphasized that her priority is to give her best performance, believing that the collective energy of everyone involved creates something magical. She stated she does not step on anyone’s toes and prefers to concentrate on her craft rather than on external chatter.
