The certificate reveals that the baby girl was born via surrogate on June 9 at 11:19 p.m. at Cedars‑Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, California.
The choice of name carries a clear musical lineage. “Rose” is said to be a nod to Édith Piaf’s classic “La Vie En Rose,” a song Gaga famously performed in the 2018 film A Star Is Born. The singer also sports a large rose tattoo that runs down her spine, a design she has linked to the same song. The middle name, “Bean,” appears to honor singer and LGBTQ+ activist Carl Bean, whose 1977 track “I Was Born This Way” inspired Gaga’s own 2011 single and album of the same title.
