The family was seen in a burst of festive attire, posing for photographs before the idol was taken to the river for immersion. Alia, wearing a pink‑and‑green kurta suit, wrapped her little daughter close, shielding her from the paparazzi’s flashbulbs as cameras clicked away.
Ranbir, clad in a rust‑orange kurta, carried the Ganpati idol while chanting “Ganpati bappa morya.” Neetu, in a blue kurta set, held a thali and joined in the chant. Raha, dressed in pastel hues, clung to her mother as the family posed for pictures. After the ceremony, they headed inside, with Alia deliberately walking in reverse to keep Raha out of the camera’s view.
The incident follows a 2025 controversy when Saif Ali Khan’s stabbing prompted him and Kareena Kapoor to refuse photographs of their children Taimur and Jehangir. In a similar move, Ranbir and Alia asked paparazzi to stop taking pictures of Raha and hinted at possible legal action if the request was ignored. Since then, Alia has stopped posting images of her daughter on Instagram, ensuring Raha’s face is always covered or omitted.
While the family’s private moments are now under tighter scrutiny, both actors remain busy with upcoming projects. Ranbir is slated to appear as Rama in Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana, set for a Diwali release, and will also feature in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Love & War next year. Alia, meanwhile, recently starred in YRF’s Alpha and will soon collaborate with Ranbir again in Love & War, alongside Vicky Kaushal. She also has the Tumbbad sequel and the Prime Video series Don’t Be Shy lined up for the coming year.
