‘Bethlehem Kudumba Unit’ hits ₹300 crore club; crew‑focused poster celebrates success

Malayalam cinema has just crossed a new milestone as the film ‘Bethlehem Kudumba Unit’ has joined the ₹300‑crore club worldwide, a feat that marks the fastest Malayalam movie to reach the benchmark. The 28‑day run saw the film playing to full houses in 266 theatres, a testament to its sustained box‑office momentum even a month after its release.

The success is a significant moment for several key figures in the industry. It marks the triumphant return of star Nivin Pauly, who has now achieved his biggest theatrical hit to date. The film is a product of Bhavana Studios, a collaboration that has proven fruitful for director Girish A.D. and actor Mamitha Baiju, who have worked together on previous projects.

In a departure from the usual star‑centric celebration posters, Bhavana Studios unveiled a commemorative artwork that spotlights the crew behind the film. The poster prominently displays director Girish A.D., screenwriter Kiran Josey, cinematographer Ajmal Sabu, and editor Aakash Joseph Varghese, alongside producers Fahadh Faasil, Dileesh Pothan, and Syam Pushkaran. This crew‑focused tribute has drawn attention for highlighting the technical team’s contribution to the film’s success.

The movie’s ensemble cast includes Sangeeth Prathap, Suresh Krishna, Bindu Panicker, Vinay Forrt, Roshan Shanavas, Shyam Mohan, Shameer Khan, Srinda, Parvathy Ayyappadas, and Meenakshi Raveendran. Its appeal extends beyond Kerala, with strong responses in Tamil Nadu, the Andhra‑Telangana region, and Gulf Cooperation Council markets.

Musical score by Vishnu Vijay, Ajmal Sabu’s cinematography, and Aakash Joseph Varghese’s editing have all been highlighted as standout technical elements that helped propel the film to its record‑setting status.
