The actor has announced plans to open two replicas of the café, one in Himachal Pradesh and another in Uttarakhand, with construction already underway at both sites.
The new cafés are designed to mirror the cosy, rustic aesthetic that viewers fell in love with on the series. Stone walls, wooden beams and a warm, inviting interior will be replicated, while the locations will also feature a network of approximately 20 rooms dedicated to artist residencies. This addition aims to transform the cafés into creative hubs where local and visiting artists can live and work.
According to insiders, the project is progressing smoothly. “The café is slowly taking shape, and the construction has been progressing well,” a source close to the venture said. “The idea is to recreate the warmth and aesthetic of the Musafir Café seen in the show while adapting it to the natural surroundings of the mountains.” The design team is carefully integrating the mountain backdrop into the layout, ensuring that the new spaces feel like a natural extension of the on‑screen environment.
In addition to the cafés, the expansion will support the broader Musafir Café brand. Netflix has renewed the series for a second season, with Massey, Vedika Pinto and Mahima Makwana set to reprise their roles as Chander, Sudha and Preeti. The upcoming season will pick up where the first chapter left off, and the real‑world cafés will provide a tangible link between the show’s narrative and its fans.
