Cinema VinesNatural Star Nani’s forthcoming feature, The Paradise, is generating buzz among fans as it gears up for a worldwide release on September 24. The film, a period action entertainer, is directed by Srikanth Odela and produced by Sudhakar Cherukuri under the SLV Cinemas banner. Odela has revealed that the story is built on a blend of a real‑life incident, fictional characters, and personal experiences from his own childhood, including a poignant reference to wearing plaits and a gown that his mother wanted for a daughter who never arrived.
Drawing inspiration from the locales of Godavarikhani and Adilabad, Odela says the film’s narrative is deeply rooted in the places he grew up. He emphasized that while the movie offers action and a mass‑appeal hero, emotion will dominate the story. “The Paradise has action, emotions and mother‑and‑son emotion blended together,” he explained, adding that audiences will connect strongly with the emotional core of the film.
Odela also highlighted how he intends to showcase Nani in a new light. He noted that after the success of Dasara, he wanted to deliver the kind of mass experience fans expect from the actor. “Nani garu’s Jadal character will give the mass and action audience a great theatrical experience,” he said, underscoring the character’s strong mass and action image on the big screen.
Choosing a different promotional strategy, Odela opted not to release a traditional trailer. “Personally, I like going directly to the theatre and getting surprised by every moment,” he said, preferring to keep updates minimal and let the film speak for itself. The shoot wrapped up after 170 days, slightly over the initial 160‑day plan.
Speaking about his collaboration with Nani, Odela remarked, “Nani garu and I talk like brothers. He gave me a life as a director. I will always be grateful to him.” He also praised composer Anirudh for the film’s six songs, including several song bits that add to the musical appeal.
Odela confirmed that The Paradise is a standalone project with no sequel or prequel in the works. After the film’s release, he plans to take a break and spend time with his family. He also hinted at a future project with Chiranjeevi, stating, “The film with Chiranjeevi garu will 100% happen.”
